We are looking for individuals to "sponsor" a hole(s) so we can finish our course. We have several very generous donations currently and are looking for people to give $225 to finish each hole. Five of the last 9 holes have been sponsored so we need 4 more people willing to donate $225 for each of the last 4 holes. Ronald McDonald House Charity Event!
Walgreens and the Morgan County Disc Golf Club will be hosting a fundraiser for the Rondald McDonald House of Indianapolis on July 21, 2012. The event will take place at Mt. Gilead Church in Mooresville on our disc golf course starting at 9am. There will be activities for families from 9am - 12pm. At noon there will be a cookout, followed by a disc golf tournament at 1pm. The disc golf tournament will be $15 to play, with $10 being donated to the Ronald McDonald House. We will have our 18 hole course set up and will play 2 rounds of 18. You may also purchase up to 5 mulligans at $1 each, to be used over the 2 rounds of 18 holes. All the proceeds from mulligan purchases will go to the Ronald McDonald House. You MUST pre-register for the Disc Golf Tournament below in order to play. Check back frequently for more details.

Saturday League Play Cancelled
Because of lack of participants each week, we are cancelling the Saturday League Play for now. We will concentrate on building up our Monday night league and get it established and then possibly bring back the Saturday League in the future if there is interest. Thanks for your support.

Morgan County Disc Golf Club Ace Race 2012 Set!
It's now official! The Morgan County Disc Golf Club 2012 Ace Race has been set for August 25th at 1:00pm at Mt. Gilead. If we don't have our other 9 permenant baskets in by then, we will have portable ones in place. We will be playing 2 rounds of 18 holes. The cost is $25 and everyone will recieve a bag, 2 prototype discs, a mini, and sticker.
All holes will be shortened to where each hole will be between 150 ft to 250 ft. Each player will make 1 throw per hole with one of the supplied discs. If you hit metal on any part of the basket you get 1 point. If you get an ace you get 2 points. The person with the most points at the end of the day is the winner. There is a huge winners package if you win. In the event of a tie, there will be a playoff until a winner is determined.
Everyone will have to sign up in advance to participate, there will only be a limited number of player packs available so you will want to sign up early. The deadline for signing up is August 3rd. Each player will have to complete the registration form and pay their $25 before the August 3rd deadline to reserve their spot. Check back frequently for more information. Mt. Gilead Hole #8 Tee Pad Has Been Moved...AGAIN!
Ok, sorry but the #8 tee pad has been moved AGAIN and hopefully for the last time! When you play the course and finish hole #7, simply turn to your left and follow the paved walking trail all the way over towards the 2 pole barns. The tee has some small evergreen trees behind it. Please use extreme caution if there are baseball or softball players parents parked by the ball field.

At this time the only course in Morgan County is located at Mt. Gilead Church located at 6019 St. Rd. 144 in Mooresville. It is a 9 hole course which we have plans to expand to 18 holes in the very near future.
